Topic: Building a Workplace Safety Program for Non-Industrial & Small Businesses
Speaker: Patrick Jolly, Facilities Manager, Geauga Public Library
Every business, no matter the size and no matter the industry, needs a workplace safety program. The presenter discusses the major components of a workplace safety program and how to find the information needed to successfully implement the program. This session benefits non-industrial employers who often think the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and workplace safety doesn't apply to their business.
Patrick just passed the 27 year mark at Geauga County Public Library, and has been involved with staff safety training for over 24 years. Pat presented this program on how to build a workplace safety program for non-industrial business at the 2018 Ohio Safety Congress in Columbus. He says, "People usually think of workplace safety in an industrial environment. Workplace safety is necessary in ALL workplace environments."
