May Luncheon Meeting: Scholarship Luncheon
Topic: Why the Continued Fight to Retain TPP Funding Matters
Speaker: Joe Regano, Superintendent, Solon City Schools
The Solon Schools have been advocating in Columbus for more than a decade to retain state funding to reimburse the schools for local revenue lost through tax reform efforts. This work is more important than ever as the district stands to lose $8.3 million in annual funding if state law on Tangible Personal Property tax reimbursements doesn't change. The loss of this funding has implications for students in the state's #1 school district as well as residential and business taxpayers.
