Topic 1: #You Too - The Impact of #MeToo on Sexual Harassment Claims
The first half would be a detailed legal update and analysis on the impact of the #MeToo movement on sexual harassment claims and lawsuits, including recent treatment by the EEOC/OCRC and courts/juries. I would also include a focus on particular areas coming out that directly impact HR's responses and evaluations.
Topic 2: Civility for an Uncivil Workplace
How to address those communications that aren't harassment but are improper. More employers (and employees) are scared to say anything in the workplace due to #MeToo and the like. This would cover what you still can and shouldn't say in the workplace, and how to teach employees the difference.
Attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion after the session.
About the Speaker: Tami Z. Hannon - Ms. Hannon is a Partner at Mazanec, Raskin & Ryder. She has worked extensively in state and federal courts defending governmental entities, their employees and elected and appointed officials from allegations of constitutional violations and improper conduct. Tami also works with public and private employers to address day-to-day employment issues that may arise.
