About the Speaker, Bruce Felton:
I have been a police officer since 1987 when I was hired by the Kent State University Police Department and attended the basic police academy at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy in Columbus.  In 1990 I was hired by the Solon Police Department and worked patrol, detective bureau, and became a police trainer in 1995.  I was promoted to Sergeant in 1999, and Lieutenant in 2001.  I am currently the support services lieutenant responsible for the police department fleet, community services, crime prevention, and the public information officer.  In 2014 I attended the Advanced Threat Assessment and Management Academy by Gavin de Becker and Associates at Lake Arrowhead, California. Also, I am a member of The Ohio Crimes Prevention Association.
